Update 14/02/23. Del Peñón Beach is located 6 km from the center of the town of Palma in the Es Coll d'en Rabassa neighborhood on the west coast of Mallorca. It is a beach with low occupancy, its users are mainly residents of the area. It is a small sandy beach with calm waters protected by a small dike on one of its sides.
Del Peñón Beach stands out for the clarity of its waters due in part to its sandy seabed and shallow depth. Del Peñón Beach is well sheltered from the wind and waves. Access to the sea is with a gently sloping, ideal for families with children. From the beach in the distance you can see emblematic buildings of Palma such as the cathedral or the Bellver castle. At the back of the beach we find low-rise residential buildings in addition to the military installations known as Torre d’en Pau and Es Fortí, the park that surrounds the military compound also stands out.
Del Peñón Beach is located between the Ciudad Jardín neighborhood and the port of Cala Gamba. It is an area without tourist buildings and quieter than the nearby Playa de Palma. Here we will also find a wide gastronomic offer with various cafes and restaurants.
