Son Real beach, sandy beach in a protected natural area, Son Serra de Marina.
Update 14/02/23. Son Real beach is located 1 km from the town of Son Serra de Marina on the northeast coast of Mallorca. It is a virgin white sand beach in a natural area of special interest. Due to its location in the middle of nature and its access on foot bordering the coast for 15 minutes, it is an uncrowded beach.
Son Real is a beach with crystal clear water. Its seabed is made up of sandy areas, Posidonia meadows and rocky areas. On the shore of the beach it is possible to find accumulations of seaweed since it is a protected natural space. Son Real beach is not sheltered from the wind and waves, the northeast wind can produce waves. From the shore, access to the sea is gently sloping, making it easy for visitors to enter the sea. As it is a beach far from urban centers, the practice of nudism is common. The bay of Alcudia is widely visible from the beach. The environment where the beach is located is formed by sand dunes and Mediterranean forest. Archaeological sites abound in this area.
The Son Real beach is located between the coastal towns of Can Picafort and Son Serra de Marina, it can be accessed from both towns. The route to get to the beach from Son Serra is the closest.
The nearby town of Can Picafort is an important tourist resort where its promenade with a wide gastronomic offer, its numerous shops and its marina stand out. Son Serra de Marina, is the closest urban center to the beach, it is a residential area that also has a small offer of restaurants and cafes.
Some of the closest beaches to Son Real Beach are Na Patana Beach and Son Bauló Beach, both in the municipality of Santa Margalida.
