Update 24/09/19. Cala Blava beautiful cove with crystal clear waters in the bay of Palma.
Beautiful little cove of small dimensions located in the urbanization of Cala Blava in the bay of Palma. In this area we can find many coves of similar characteristics, really clear waters, in fact the urbanization has taken its name due to the spectacular colours that the sea always presents.
Here the coast is quite flat, mainly a type of material called "marés", a material that is easily eroded by the action of the sea, so the seabed is mostly sandy.
The beach of Cala Blava has the attraction of having a lot of vegetation on the back, since it is the mouth of a small torrent which hardly carries water in the rainy months.
In general, the beach of Cala Blava is little frequented, basically by residents of the area. It highlights the beauty of its seabed where really spectacular contrasts appear, large areas of sand next to other rocky areas full of vegetation and marine life.
In this area the sea is always quite calm with hardly any waves.
How to arrive:
If you are travelling from Palma, you should head towards Llucmajor by motorway and take exit number 15, then drive towards the coast where you will reach the well-known Arenal de Llucmajor. Without entering this tourist area you will take the first deviation to the left and you will travel along a local road bordering the coast for about 3km until you see the indication of the entrance to the urbanization of Cala Blava.
