Cala Varques is a beautiful sandy beach located in the municipality of Manacor, between the residential areas of Calas de Mallorca and Cala Romántica. It is located in a spectacular environment; pine forests, rocks, sand, crystal clear waters ...
It is a beach in the middle of nature, far from any construction, in fact the closest urbanizations are several kilometers away.
The rocky coast has naturally formed an important entrance protecting the beach of Cala Varques from the waves on windy days. The beach is of fine white sand of about 100m long and with a quite extensive area of sand. The bottom of the sea is beautiful and very calm, of light turquoise blue colours.
In addition to the attractiveness of the beach in its surroundings you can find several caves and in one of its sides you can often see groups of people practicing climbing and jumping to the sea from high altitude.
The beach of Cala Varques is very popular especially among the locals so it is advisable to arrive early in the morning.
It is quite common to see anchored boats attracted by the beauty of the area.
Near Cala Varques we find the beach of Cala Magraner.
How to arrive:
From Manacor you should head towards Calas de Mallorca. Before reaching Cales de Mallorca, you will connect with the road that goes towards Porto Cristo. After about 100 m on the right you will see the access to Cala Varques. It is an unpaved road, this last section is done on foot, in about 20 minutes you will reach the beach of Cala Varques.
