Es Capdellà, inland town located west of Mallorca in the Municipality of Calvià.
Update 10/02/23. Es Capdellà is a town located west of Mallorca belonging to the municipality of Calvià. It is 22 km from Palma and 3 km from Calvià. In its vicinity we find the towns of Calvià, Andratx and Galilea. The approximate population of the town is 1,000 inhabitants.
The town of Es Capdellà is located on the small mountain Puig de sa Grua and offers beautiful views of the mountainous area that surrounds it. Like the majority of localities in Mallorca, it was formed when peasants from the area who worked for landlords began to group and settle in the area. Es Capdellà is a very quiet town and in it we find residents of different nationalities.
In the surroundings of Es Capdellà you can make many excursions such as; Mola de S'Esclop or Es Puig Batiat among others.

MAIN PLACES TO VISIT IN ES CAPDELLA
• The center of the town. Consisting of narrow streets, old stone houses and garden areas. It has some bars and restaurants.

Near Es Capdellà you can visit the Calvià market that is held every Monday or the Andratx market that is held every Wednesday. Other points of special interest are the coastal towns of Puerto de Andratx, Sant Elm and Es Camp de Mar. Some of the most beautiful beaches near Es Capdellà are the beach of Sant Elm facing the island Pantaleu, or Es Caló des Monjo and Cala Egos that are beaches located in the middle of nature. Also noteworthy are the wonderful views that you can get from Es Puig des Galatzó where there is a nature reserve with flora and fauna of the area. Other recommended visits are the Sa Dragonera Natural Park and the La Trapa nature reserve both places located at the west end.
MAIN FESTIVITIES AND MARKETS IN ES CAPDELLA
• Weekly market. Es Capdellà does not have a weekly market. The nearest market will be held at Calvià on Mondays.
• Es Capdellà Festivities They take place in the middle of July.

How to arrive:
Es Capdellà is 22 km from Palma and 3 km from Calvià. From Palma, take the Ma-1 highway towards Andratx and then take the Ma-15 deviation to Calvià and continue until Es Capdellà.
