Update 02/02/23. Magaluf is located in the township municipality of Calvia. A resort that is placed where it can reflect the full value of its beaches and seascapes, one can paddle through the crystalline waters for up nearly two kilometres. So, there is plenty of scenic space to be enjoyed without digging your elbows in anyone else's ribs.
Of course we all like to be distracted by people watching and browsing shops. Here Here one finds a rather unique lengthy board-walk built precisely for such reason. The town is very tourist friendly., There is to be experienced a plethora of bars, restaurants, diverse eateries, hotels and apartments. All budgets are catered for.
Magaluf is famous for its colourful night life. Many of the bars and clubs are open until the wee small hours of the morning. Indeed late-to-late is an apt expression. Many are always open for business. The culture has it that a closed bar doesn't entertain visitors or make money. Simple really. For this reason - well for many reasons, when experiencing Magaluf you are likely to meet many who aren't local but like you are here to enjoy themselves.
During the short winter months, if by northern European standards you can call snow free Mallorca's winter winter, many athletes work-out here. There are excellent sports facilities, three splendid golf courses, fields purpose designed for athletics,. There are also natural grass soccer and football fields, tennis club, all backed by various activities events and support. Magaluf is also a place from where excursions run. Because of its full winter program of events the term used is 'Calvia European Winter.'
How to arrive:
Magaluf is located in the vicinity of Palma west of Mallorca. The Ma-1 highway that connects the towns of Palma and Andratx halfway has the exit towards Magaluf.
