Galilea

Update 10/02/23. Galilea is a town located west of Mallorca belonging to the municipality of Puigpunyent. It is 18 km from Palma, 4 from Puigpunyent and 11 km from Calvià. In its vicinity we find the towns of Calvià, Puigpunyent and Es Capdella. The approximate population of the town is 300 inhabitants.

Galilea is a picturesque inland village surrounded by mountains and Mediterranean forests of narrow sloping streets and small stone houses. The most popular place in the town is located in the vicinity of the church. From here you can enjoy spectacular views and also in this area we find some coffee shops where you can relax and feel the tranquility of the place.

In the surroundings of Galilea you can make many excursions such as; Puig de Galatzó or Mola de na Costitxa among others.

Other visits you can do near Galilea:
Near Galilea you can visit the Calvià market that is held every Monday. Other points of special interest are the nearby towns of Es Capdella, Puigpunyent and Esporles, all located in the beautiful surroundings of the Sierra de Tramuntana. The closest beaches are found in Peguera; Palmira Beach and Torà Beach. Other recommended visits are the natural parks of Sa Dragonera and that of La Trapa.

• Weekly market. Galilea does not have a weekly market. The nearest market is held in the town of Puigpunyent on Saturday mornings.
• Galilea Festivities, "Festes de la Natividad de la Mare de Déu" They are celebrated at the beginning of September.

How to arrive:

Galilea is 18 km from Palma and 4 km from Puigpunyent. From Palma, take the Ma-1041 road to Puigpunyent and then continue on the Ma-1032 to Galilea.
