Selva
Selva is a municipality located at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana halfway between Palma and Alcudia next to the municipality of Inca.
Update 09/02/23. Selva is composed of 5 population centers where the largest of them is the town of Selva where the town hall is. The other towns are Caimari, Moscari, Biniamar and Binibona, all these towns are within walking distance and have many features in common.
All these small towns have a special charm. Its narrow streets are full of slopes with old houses built of stone and very well maintained. Its surroundings are spectacular, fields with cultivated areas, olive and almond trees and always in the background the magnificent view of the mountains.
Selva is the main urban center with about 2,000 inhabitants, it is a very visited town since it is necessary to cross it when going up to the Lluc monastery among other interesting areas of the Sierra de Tramuntana. In the center of this town there is the town hall, the main square where the market is held weekly, the church of San Lorenzo in Gothic style dating from the thirteenth century and the park with its large square where the locals meet at their popular festivals, from here the view is really beautiful.
The rest of the towns, Caimari, Moscari, Biniamar and Binibona have together about 2,000 inhabitants. Highlights the popular festivals that are held every year in these locations. The most famous festival "the olive fair" in the month of November. It is also significant the large number of agrotourisms that are near these locations, mainly due to the beauty of the environment.
How to arrive:
It is necessary first to reach the town of Inca and then go towards the mountains, for this you will take the road to Lluc Ma-2130. The town of Selva is located about 5 kilometers from Inca.
