Footwear Museum, exhibition of the manufacture and evolution of footwear for 100 years until now.
Update 05/02/20. The Footwear Museum is located in the town of Selva, on its exit to Lluc.
Our Museum of Shoes and period machinery is located in the small village of Selva, where there is a tradition of shoe making that dates back a hundred years. Selva stands at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, declared a UNESCO world heritage site.
Our exhibit includes items from the early days of the industrialisation of shoe manufacture in Mallorca, selected from over 1000 pieces that form our collection.
There is also a chronological exhibition of shoes with examples from 1927 to pairs from the present day.
The pieces that make up our collection have survived the wear and tear of intensive use and the passing of time. Their survival is a testimony to times gone by.
Shoes offer us a mirror on society, a micro-history that recalls the technology, fashions and aesthetics of a particular moment in time.
In the enclosure where the museum is located you can also see the Kollflex store of footwear and leather goods.
How to arrive:
Selva is only 6km from Inca in the direction of Lluc, in Selva you will find us on the exit direction to Lluc.
