Santueri Castle, fortification located in the municipality of Felanitx.
The Santueri Castle is located in the south of Mallorca on the top of a mountain of 408 meters altitude and about 5 km from the coast.
The Santueri Castle is listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest and Historical Heritage of Spain.
The characteristics of the mountain where the castle is located with large cliffs allowed the different cultures that inhabited the island to use it as a strategic point of defense. So first the Romans and later the Arabs used it until the reconquest of Mallorca by King Jaime I.
Next to the Castle of Alaró and the Castle of Pollensa was one of the last points of resistance of the Muslims in the reconquest of Mallorca.
From the castle you get panoramic views of the island and mainly of the south coast of Mallorca.
You can get to Santueri Castle by car. The road that connects Felanitx with Santanyí has a detour to the left, signaling the road to the Castle.
How to arrive:
To access the Santueri Castle, the Ma-14 road that connects the towns of Felanitx and Cala d'Or has the detour indicated 1 km after leaving Fenalitx. The castle facilities have a parking area.
