Es Baluard, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Palma.
Update 09/02/23. Es Baluard is located in front of the seafront of Palma in a very beautiful environment, surrounded by open spaces, gardens and fountains. It is located near the Cathedral of Palma and the Royal Palace of Almudaina.
Es Baluard is the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Palma de Mallorca and is one of the most important in Spain in its genre and it brings together an important number of artists from the Balearic Islands or related to the Islands where we find part of their best works of art.
The Es Baluard Museum, in addition to exhibiting works from its permanent collection, also holds temporary exhibitions of artists of national and international renown.
The building is located in the walled enclosure that surrounded the city of Palma, was a defensive construction dating from the sixteenth century, its use was for more than 300 years military. In it we can see a perfect combination of elements and original materials such as the "mares" together with elements used more in modern constructions such as concrete and steel.

How to arrive:
The Baluard is located next to the Sa Faixina Park, its easiest access is by the seafront avenue and it has a parking area very close.
