Military Museum of San Carlos
Military Museum of San Carlos, military history of the Balearic Islands.
Update 09/02/23. The Military Museum of San Carlos is located in the area of Porti Pi next to the Dique del Oeste where large cruise ships usually make their stop in Palma town.
The castle of San Carlos was built in the 17th century by order of Felipe III with the aim of protecting the city of Palma from pirate attacks and thus reinforcing the various defense points on the sea front of the city.

The Castle Military Museum of San Carlos was inaugurated in 1991. It has an exhibition area of 1,270 m2. In the museum we can see the miliar history of the Balearic Islands through various monographic rooms, from antiquity to recent dates.
Temporary exhibitions are also held at the facilities of the Military Museum of San Carlos and there is a conference and screening room.
