The Formentor Lighthouse, one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Mediterranean.
The Formentor Lighthouse is located in the extreme north of Mallorca in the municipality of Pollensa. Built at 188 meters above sea level, it houses a tower 22 meters high and the range of the lighthouse is 44km.
The area where the Formentor Lighthouse is located is of great scenic value and forms part of the Sierra de Tramuntana declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
From the Puerto de Pollensa to the viewpoint of the Colomer, the Atalaya of Albercutx, the Formentor Beach, Cala Murta and Cala Figuera are extremely beautiful places that are on the way to the Formentor Lighthouse.
The winding road that leads to the lighthouse goes through a mountainous area and allows us to enjoy spectacular panoramic views with the Mediterranean in the background. Forests, cliffs, beaches with crystal clear waters, a unique and wonderful landscape.
Due to the heavy traffic during the summer months there are restrictions on the passage of vehicles within a certain time slot, normally between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. From the beach of Formentor there are buses that make the journey to the Formentor Lighthouse.
How to arrive:
The Ma-2210 road leads from the Puerto de Pollensa to the Formentor Lighthouse. In the summer months there are restrictions of passage and you can only reach the beach of Formentor, from the beach there are buses that lead to the Formentor Lighthouse.
