Route by car visiting 6 archaeological sites next to the towns of Sencelles and Costitx.

Update 30/12/19. The Archaeological route starts from the town of Sencelles and passes through 6 archaeological sites located in the vicinity of Sencelles and Costitx, with a total distance of 12km. We recommend that you make the route by car or bicycle, since you have to walk along the shoulder of local roads to do it on foot.

Cova del Camp del Bisbe.
The Cova del Camp del Bisbe has been recently excavated. It was a funeral space dating from 1,000 BC.

Talayot de Son Fred.
The Son Fred Talayot stands out for its large size and its good state of preservation. It is a prehistoric building that dates back to 1,000 BC. composed of large circular stone blocks with a central column.

Sanctuary of Son Corró.
The Sanctuary of Son Corró was discovered at the end of the 19th century, it is formed by columns of different heights and it has an area of about 20m2. In this archaeological site were found three Bronze Bull heads that are currently in the National Archaeological Museum of Madrid.

Es Turassot archaeological site.
It is one of the best preserved sets of navetas in Mallorca. Recently, excavation work has been carried out. It stands out for its large dimensions with stone structures over 2.5 meters high.

Talayot de Binifat.
The Talayot de Binifat is circular shape of about 15m in diameter. It was part of a village that currently has almost no remains.

Ses Talaies de Can Xim.
It is a prehistoric set formed by two talayots with a square floor plan and two attached buildings. It is believed that it was a ceremonial site and was part of a village with almost no remains.
