Update 09/02/23. The Son Jaumell watchtower is located in the municipality of Capdepera near the town of Cala Ratjada. It is a small mountain of 277 meters high where a watchtower that dates from the sixteenth century is located.
From the top we can contemplate the northeast coast of the island, the beach of Cala Mesquida, the beach of Cala Agulla or the town of Cala Ratjada. On clear days you can also see the coast of Menorca.

From the Cala Agulla car park to the top of the mountain there is about 3 km of route and it takes about 50 minutes to reach the top, it is a relatively easy climb and can be combined with other points of the Peninsula de Llevant.
On the excursion to the Atalaya de Son Jaumell half of the way passes through pine forests and as you climb the mountain there is less vegetation. It is important to be equipped with enough drink, especially on hot days, since shadows are scarce at the top.
