The Teatre Principal is located in the center of Palma next to La Rambla and Plaza Mayor.
The space where the Teatre Principal is located in 1667 housed a theater with capacity for 800 people called "Casa de las Comedias". For centuries this space has undergone a continuous transformation. The current building is equipped with all kinds of new technology and hosts all kinds of plural repertoire: theater, opera, music, circus, dance, etc.
Its current director is Carlos Forteza, journalist and cultural manager specialized in music and performing arts.
